Hello everyone in the ee community it’s that time again of the year placing and tracking the new iPhone 16 and 16 pro max’s orders and especially since a few years with delay issues with ee 😂 and then ringing them up and patiently waiting for that DPD notification I love this time of the year, so everyone I have created this thread and everyone stay posted in this thread don’t follow any other thread keep this one running guys if we keep each other updated then hopefully we get the iPhone this year on time on release day.

To make things worse, now that the phone cost and airtime plan cost is split, the 20% off perk only applies to the airtime part. Which is going to make up less than half the monthly cost so it’s barely 10% off overall now…

Has anyone spoke to customer services about the waiving of the early anytime upgrade fee this year yet? When I spoke to CS earlier this week about an unrelated matter they said they wouldn't know until today! 

@Chris_S any ideas? Last year a number of us placed orders but the system fell over and lost them so we had to re-place the order and we ended up getting handsets 4+ weeks later which means this year we can't anytime up close to pre-order date. My (final) anytime upgrade is now 27th October so I shall enviously watch everyone pre-order their 😄

I spoke to them last weekend and I’ve had a note put on the system stating that the manager has authorised the waiving of the £300 cost. So fingers crossed it all gets put through quickly today.

Hopefully that would be the case for everyone but I doubt that would waived for everyone depends case to case I guess!

Can anyone remember how quickly they send out the return bags for anytime upgrade and how long you get to return. Go on holiday the week after launch date and gear it will not be feasible to upgrade this year

Last year when I had to return my Apple Watch Ultra 1 they took around 2-3 weeks to send me that return package 📦 I had to remind them that hey I am still waiting for that return package.

Cause by that time I already received my Ultra 2 but I was skeptical that they would charge me for both (and they did charge me for both but then settled me in next bill) cause both watches were listed in My EE account!
