Hi,
I am looking for some information and advice.
I purchased a Samsung television from EE which was delivered via parcel force. I received the tv extremely damaged making it unusable. I contracted EE as so as I received the item to notify them of this device arriving in that state.
Fast foward a week whilst I waited for contact back. Which was a call telling me that parcel force do not offer an "exchange option" for an item. Resulting in being unable to replace the damaged goods. But only able to the collect and refund the item on my account.
Besides how annoyed and let down I feel about how terrible this service is provided by EE. In regards to the credit check I was told this would be removed from the search. But surely EE don't have the power to remove a hard credit check from my history and it can take up to minimum of 12 months to have this reflect on my credit score?
Just looking for additional information because EE clearly have no idea what they're doing and should not have provided a service that they wouldn't be able to manage should damage be caused by a 3rd party delivery service! Extremely poor and should not be allowed.

Hi @Nostalgicz
You cannot just remove a credit search this will drop off after 1 year. Just becase you returned an item doesn't mean this is removed also.
You have 14 days to cancel any contract if the item was purchased online. If you're within third period then there shouldn't be an issue.
EE complaints process is here:
https://ee.co.uk/contact-ee/complaint
Thanks

According to EE it is removed by their finance team. But I find that extremely hard to believe. I rang the complaints team who I asked to raise a complaint. Which they did not due to it "being sorted" and i just have to wait for a refund. I am stuck unable to get anything on finance now and can't even raised a complaint. Which is a 2 week process along to get a refund.
