Apple Watch ultra 2 preorder

Hi,

I preordered the Apple Watch Ultra 2, it said at the time of order completion that I will receive it on launch day, which I thought was today 22nd sept. I’ve had confirmation of my order at the time I ordered and in delivery section it states the same - delivery ON the day of launch. But now I can’t track on the website or app and I’ve had no further emails from either EE or DPD. BUT the contract (renewal) is active on my account, which it states in a help section, this will only happen when your device has been dispatched. It’s been on my account for a couple of days. 
I don’t know what to think, I’m at a bit of a loss tbh!

any help or similar out there?

Hi,

I am in exactly the same position. I upgraded my existing Apple Watch Series 6 data only contract to a new Apple Watch Ultra 2, paid the £30 upfront, noticed my account switched over yesterday but I have had nothing since the first confirmation email (which didn't include an order reference for tracking).

I tried to contact EE this morning, but reached a dead end the first call (option 1 wasn't recognised), and then a 1hour 20 min queue the second. This is not good customer service, and we could do with an explanation. Where is the watch, should I stay in?!!!!!!

Your plan change indicates your watch has been dispatched.

You'll receive a text message with tracking details from DPD as soon as your delivery slot is confirmed.

Does this mean a delivery slot of any day? Or today as it originally said? With DPD I usually get a message with a time slot before 11am on the day of delivery so am I to assume it won’t be today?

Yes, you'd receive your delivery slot on the day of delivery.

Have you checked the DPD app to see if they have any active parcels for you?

As above we need to know a day, the original email explained we should expect delivery on launch day (today). I will not be able to accept delivery tomorrow due to other commitments, and likewise have not had any slot confirmation from DPD! (nothing in the DPD app either)

The lack of effective communication and explanation up front here is more than a little frustrating. Getting the watch is not a big deal, I am not shaking with excitement or anything, but I do need to plan ahead and not just sit here like a dummy waiting for a delivery that may never come.

My email also said id receive my watch on launch day but I’ve seen nothing in the DPD app about having any deliveries today.

Nothing in the DPD app. No texts or emails from DPD or EE.

Hi @MarkyUE,

If you're in on the day of your scheduled delivery, you can change the day on the DPD app or website.

Orders are being dispatched on a first come, first serve basis as stock arrives from the manufacturer.

You'll receive a delivery notification from DPD as soon as your delivery slot is confirmed.
