EE deals on price comparison sites

Have EE removed their deals/tariffs from price comparison sites such as Comparethemarket? I hope not as two years ago I managed to find much better deals for upgrading my phone, that I would never have realised was available. But been looking at deals for the iPhone 14 pro and the cheapest monthly tariffs seem to be around £60 just for 5Gb data. The upfront phone costs are pretty cheap. But I’d rather pay more upfront to lower monthly prices. Also on I think some online phone sites you see to monthly deals for the same price but one would have 5Gb data the other 100gb. I’m a little tempted to get unlimited data but not really prepared to pay £80 a month. I wish I could find something like 100gb for upto £60 a month. Also noticed some packages say maximum speed and others just say 5G. I hadn’t realised they were capped. But a lot of the time I’ve found 4G faster in some areas. Is there are chances cheaper deals may come out in a few months? Because I’m now thinking I may have to switch to Vodafone as their prices seem a lot better. But I’ve been with Orange/Ee for over 20 years as always found very few areas with signal problems and the 4G is fast in most areas.

Hi @SwindonPhilly.

If you keep an eye on our online shop you'll see any new deals that become available.

You could also try speaking with our Upgrades Team directly.

I've encountered the same issues. Sorry EE this unfair to your customers who have been with you for a long time like myself 10 years or so. People are trying to find the best deals with EE at a time of cost of living and struggling financially. Having just checked your EE shop deals sorry but I do not find the prices fair compared to other networks. You will lose customers at this rate. The customers should be allowed to compare prices on a comparison site to get the best deal possible. If EE have removed themseleves from comparison sites be prepared for customers leaving EE!! Not a happy EE customer here.

The offers just aren’t there. I’m now having to look at a different provider for all of my families contracts as can’t afford to upgrade them.

I've noticed EE deals are no longer on CompareDial and other sites. EE deals don't seem as competitive anymore.

Never had any issues with EE service. Always been spot on. But unfortunately after over 10 years with them I'm going to have to leave for this reason. Closing the market and not allowing 3rd party suppiers to sell your product only works when you are competitive with your pricing structure yourselves. You are well out of touch. I can renew my contract for literally half the price with another network for exactly the same package. My family and work employees will also be moving as soon as they are due for renewal.  Whoever came up with this bright idea in your marketing department should probably be sacked as I feel its going to cost you millions !!

Its a disgrace

What I find is that the deals on the website (looking at s22 ultra 5G) are sometimes more than £20+ more than other providers directly not even via comparison sites ,I can get it with team red directly on a 24 month for £51 per month but with EE im looking at almost £80 a month for the same plan

so then you have to contact the upgrades team and play the game, If a company wants to keep my business I shouldn't have to Haggle , I should be able to get the best price from my own provider, bear in mind they all buy the handsets from the manufacturer for the same price

@Anidfan    Would that be a 36 month device contract with a 24 month calls/text/data contract?     If you want to purchase the device over 36 month EE also offer this with a 24 month tariff.  You have to call customer services to request this as it’s not on the website      That will bring the cost per month just line the offer you mentioned.    They seem cheap until you release it’s a 36 month device contract

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

You're right. They don't seem to have any agreements with carphonewarehouse, affordablemobiles.co.uk, fonehouse.co.uk, mobiles.co.uk or mobiles.co.uk. Obviously, this is going to stop probably unrealistic customers from calling in and trying to price match to discounted EE deals on those websites. EE have been rated the best and most reliable network for several years by rootmetrics so while not perfect, they're overall the best network for performance. So what they're doing is essentially cornering customers. But customers still have choice to look at other networks. They're just saying if you join us, you're going to pay a bit more because you're going to have to purchase through in-house EE channels so they can control the prices offered to customers. It could be seen as cynical but EE have about 27% of the UK market share and I bet it won't drop by this time next year. People might go off to some other smaller network but will often come back. Truth is that sometimes you get what you pay for so while people will shake their heads and grit their teeth about price increases and high prices on EE, they will probably still continue to increase their market share.

It's not a disgrace though is it? Why should they set their prices just to suit you though? To them, they feel that represents the appropriate price for them. If Vodafone are so much cheaper and better why would you feel EE's price is a disgrace? Why would you care? You'd just move to Vodafone. Because you would rather be on EE perhaps. Probably because you feel their performance is better and maybe EE factor that into their prices. It's only a disgrace if they're putting a gun to your head and forcing you to pay it. But they're not.  As far as I can see, EE are not doing the S22 ultra on their site now. Looks like end of line. Only good as new models available. They're doing pre-orders on the S23 ultra it seems.
