Can't activate Discovery +

I get told I am eligible, then when I try to activate I get error WB402. Long live chat with BT and they couldn't help. Any ideas?

Are you trying to switch from a BT Sport subscription to TNT Sports, or setting up a brand new subscription?

Is it as a chargeable add-on or an inclusive extra?

What steps have you taken to activate your subscription so far?

I had BT Sport. I've taken all of the steps spoken about within this thread, including hours on the phone with EE, trying different browsers, WiFi on/off, etc etc only to be told to call Discovery.

Did you activate your subscription at bt.com/sport/activate-discovery-plus or a different URL?

What were you advised when you contacted discovery+ support?

Yes I did try to activate my subscription. As I previously said, I went through all the steps over multiple different browsers and devices only to be told by EE that I should call Discovery. Discovery don't know anything either. 

Can anyone from EE tell me when this is going to be fixed please? And what sort of compensation I will be receiving for this?

My apologies, I have removed my previous message as I can see you have confirmed you have a BT Sports account.

Could you confirm if you are seeing any error messages?

Is this an Inclusive Extra or a chargeable monthly add-on?

I get the WB402 error.

This is an incusive extra.

Hi James,

No, it is not helpful. As I mentioned before, I've spent more of my personal time than should ever be necessary on the phone to you people with no solution.

At this point all I want to know is are EE going to fix this for me, and if not, what will my compensation for that be?

Hi @SteveBDF,

Did you try a password reset for all email addresses you could have used to activate your subscription?

If you have and it didn't resolve the issue, please get in touch with Customer Care so a member of the team can cancel your add-on and reactivate it.
