Please does anyone know why my voicemail greeting (that I recorded for Orange in the 1990s) has suddenly disappeared and been replaced by a standard one? I have been using the same iPhone SE for several years and have not changed any settings. I have not been abroad or done anything different. Could it be the heatwave? Has anyone else experienced this? Can I get it back?
Thanks, Matthew
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

If you dial 222 and go into option 2, is your greeting there?
if you're hearing siri voice that's not not visual voicemail, it's Live Voicemail, its a new iphone feature. If you go into settings > phone you should see live voicemail there and can turn it off if you need to.

You can swap between greetings using option 2 on the voicemail menus.

Hey there @eemh 😊
Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community!
If the greeting has switched over to a male voice that's the same as the one used for Siri, it sounds like you've got Visual Voicemail enabled.
This will replace the standard EE divert, but you can disable it by texting IPHONE VISUAL OFF to 150.
If it's just a generic EE greeting you're using now, you can amend this the way @bristolian has mentioned.

Hi @Peter_W
Yes it's the Siri voice now that answers if I don't get to the phone in time. So I sent the text as you advised and got an instant reply saying:
"Sorry we could not process your request, please try again a little later on." (Whatever that means, an hour? tomorrow? next week?)
So is this an Apple problem not an EE one? Perhaps it snuck in during an iOS upgrade (I'm now on 18.5) and I didn't read all the small print?
Thanks, Matthew

Thanks @bristolian I see that, but the options are to use the standard greeting or record a new one. I wanted my 30 year old one back! Is there any way? Please also see my reply to the other helper.
Thanks, Matthew

HI @eemh
You can call Customer Service on 150 where a guide will be able to remove the Visual Voicemail service for you.
