Voice mail notification

For the last few months I have had the message pop up saying I have a voicemail but I don’t. How can o stop the notification popping up.

Thanks for coming here. 

Could you try leaving a voicemail by calling from another phone, then deleting the message does this resolve this for you?

I'm the same & can't get rid of the voice mail icon.

I've turn off all voice mail notifications & the icon is still showing. 

This started happening after I updated the software on my device.

So one of the lads I work with had the same issue. We both managed to sort it by leaving a message for each other. Stupid but it worked.

sending yourself a message definitely works.I just did it and it cleared the message icon
