My remark was aimed at somebody saying that EE doesn't impose any limit & some phones limit them to "usually" 160 chars while others saying some networks limit them to less. These statements are blatantly incorrect or unclear as the 160 char limit is imposed by the protocol network-wide & worldwide on ASCII (7-bit) coded SMSs.
