Unable to receive or send texts messages, unable to receive or start calls

Recently I have been unable to receive or send texts messages, unable to receive or start calls. I am on a top up sim card and had topped up about 15 minutes to yet still receive text message errors and when calling phone numbers for a prompt to state "I don't have enough credit to make a call", this paired with the fact I cannot text 150. This is all somewhat silly potentially to my own negligence. Please help.

Hi @Ben4444o

Welcome to the community.

Does your phone show a good signal? You should be able to text 150 for free.

What kind of phone are you using? Have you tried restarting it?
Chris

That's what I am somewhat perplexed about also, as I am not sure what constitutes as good signal here is a screenshot of my single page:

and I have already tried restarting it to no avail, I am using a Samsung a12.

When was the last time you used the phone to make a call or send a text, @Ben4444o?

Could you take a screenshot showing the icons at the top of the screen?

Chris

It says on my history July 28th 2023 for an outgoing call and Sept 2022 for a text.

OK, thanks @Ben4444o

It all looks and sounds like it should be working to me. I recommend speaking to our Mobile Care team so they can check everything from our side.

Chris

I'll do that now,

Thank you for your help.

It's not the only relevant parameter, but an RF value of -121dBM would suggest your coverage is very poor/edge-of-cell.
