Unable to make or receive calls

I can’t make or receive phone calls. Even when I try to call 150 my mobile phone doesn’t complete the call. 
Bill have been paid.

@iara  Any call even to EE customer services is still a phone call.   Was you late with your bill payment?  If you was and that bill is now paid you have to allow up to 24h before you’ll get a working signal again.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Further to @Chris_B's questions, have you tried restarting your device?

As I said bills have been paid on time. Yes, I have restarted the device
twice. Nothing.
An ee doesn’t reply to my Twitter message or my chat request for assistance.
Very disappointing.

What happens when you use chat though? That's supposed to be instant. Could you try on a different device?

My wife cannot make or receive calls. There are 3 mobiles on the account and the other phones can make and receive calls. We have just started a new contract from today
