Text and calls in France

I am currently in France and cannot make outgoing calls or text. I am receiving incoming calls and text but cannot call out or reply to texts. I have the roam abroad pass and received the EE message when I arrived saying I could use my phone as normal

@Lmoon   Have you just tried restarting the device?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi @Lmoon

Did you activate roaming before leaving the UK by either texting ROAMING to 150 or by giving us a call?

Purchasing the Roam Abroad Pass does not automatically activate these settings.

Speak soon,

Katie 🙂

I have just arrived in France and did not set up before leaving. Can I do it now?

If you're on PAYG, then roaming is auto-enabled once you use your phone in the UK first.

If you're on pay-monthly, then roaming can only now be enabled by contacting EE CS from another phone or a web-calling app such as Skype.
