Roaming tariffs, Ukraine

Hi there. I have got a little bit confused with roaming tariffs while being abroad, in particular in Ukraine. I have received two different messages: the first one with tariffs (received from EE), and the second saying that it's free of charge to use calls, data and texts in Ukraine (received from 1024 phone number). Can anyone help with it? It will be much appreciated!

Hi @Kristie23

Welcome to the community.

Sorry for the confusion.

The second message that you mentioned is correct. You can use your allowances in Ukraine. If you receive any charges, please let us know.

@Kristie23 : As it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/ukraine.

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.

Calls, texts and data to and from Ukraine are free at the moment, @XRaySpeX.

Chris

Ah, OK, @Christopher_G . Why isn't that mentioned on the Ukraine roaming page?

Sounds like the 150 text with charges listed, is the standard roaming one - and the separate one saying FOC is a temporary one covering the current situation.

Did the temporary one have any wording of "ignore standard charges" or suchlike?

I'm not sure why it isn't, @XRaySpeX, but it would be helpful. I'll send some feedback through.

Chris

Hello, regarding your message, I'm confused, I'm charged while in Ukraine. I still have my pack allowances. But the money were taken off my account.

Hello @anastasyavoronk

We are covering costs on pay as you go.

You will have credit deducted initially, but we are automatically refunding these costs, and they will appear on your account within one day.

If this does not get refunded please let me know,

Katie

I don't why you are charged. I am on contract, and I wasn't charged while being in Ukraine
