Been in Canada the past few days and was working fine. But since mid day it's been patchy with giving me signal to anything with no R symbol appearing on my bars. Any help appreciated

I have the same problem  - I arrived in USA a week ago and my mobile was working fine and connecting to the networks etc. Yesterday, the connection just disappeared - it seems many others in USA and Canada are experiencing the same issue -so must be a system fault which EE needs to sort out urgently!!

Hi @Fahmad1

Welcome to the community.

Syniverse, a company who manage international roaming for various mobile carriers, are investigating an intermittent service issue affecting customers of a number of mobile carriers, including EE, when customers visit North America. Syniverse are working to restore full service as soon as possible, and you can read their latest update, here.

In the meantime, we recommend manually searching for AT&T through the network settings of your device.

Chris

Hi thanks for trying to help but this seems to be a system fault which EE needs to sort out. There are loads of EE customers experiencing this loss of roaming connections in USA and Canada since yesterday. I have been in the USA for over a week and the connection was fine until yesterday. Rebooting and manual connection etc does not solve the issue because it seems to be a maintenance matter which EE really needs to sort out asap!

Hello Christopher, although you suggest manually connecting to AT&T this just doesn’t work because the roaming connection is compromised

My phone stopped connecting to any networks in the USA sometime Tuesday. No info or support from EE.

@Fahmad1 : It's actually the US & Canadian networks to sort out, specifically Syniverse. EE will just have to wait on them.

@Banim94  Are you on contract or PAYG ?    If on contract did you enable roaming on your EE account by texting ROAMING to 150 before you left the UK ?

If on PAYG you can not use your allowance in the US and you need to pay for call/texts and purchase a data add on

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
