Roaming in Australia

Donald-B

Currently on holiday in Australia. Mostly been using WiFi but today had to use data. I had organised roaming before I left the UK. My phone now says that I don't have a SIM card and cannot connect to a network.

Anyone with any suggestions? Have tried contacting EE by phone but obviously not an option without a SIM.

Cheers.

Hi @Donald-B

Welcome to the community.

Before you left the UK did you texting ROAMING to 150?

Does your phone show a NO SIM error or NO Service?

Hi Katie

I had Roaming set up before I left the UK. Although I have an EE SIM inserted under settings it says I have no SIM card inserted and the phone doesn't show any network.

Hi @Donald-B

Have you tried removing the SIM then inserting it again?

Is your SIM pay as you go or pay monthly?

If you try to manually search for local networks does anything show?

Hi @Donald-B

You cannot have roaming set up if you receive that message. You'll need to to speak to EE CS direct.

You can download Skype and use the number in my signature to call EE (UK office hours).

Thanks

@Donald-B : In what way did you set up roaming before you left UK specifically?

Are you on contract or PAYG?
