Hello hoping to get some advice my teen is currently in Barcelona with school, prior to his trip my husband arranged for him to have access to roaming whilst he is away. He has been there since yesterday and so far has not been able to connect to a network. We have spoke to him via another persons phone and gone through step by step setting up his phone manually but nothing is working! Also t my husband contacted  EE last night and they have confirmed the roaming his active on his number…..

@CF1977  As he just tried restarting the device?  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

If roaming is genuinely enabled on your teen's SIM, and not just a billing add-on, there is no "setting up" that needs doing as such.

If network selection is set to auto as most phones are, then no intervention should be needed. A manual network selection followed by attempts on every available operator, is a good technique.

Toggling flight mode and restarting the phone all fail, then the logical conclusion would be that roaming isn't active.
