cant receive sms or calls while abroad

I have the same problem, it is ridiculous. I receive UK text messages, have roaming enabled but don't receive text messages sent to me by local business for verification (which would for example allow me to use the local taxi app).

Which country are you in? Are you able to receive texts from normal mobile users?
