SMS not received while I'm roaming in India

I am in India now and have the same issue. My bank cannot seem to send texts to me. I used to receive texts in the beginning, but since then has stopped. The network search has been set to Automatic. I have not set data roaming, not sure if I have to as am not looking to use the mobile for data. The device is Samaung Galaxy S8.

Hi @James_B  , I could successfully send messages from my office (UK) phone , but failed to do so from my India phone. All I get is a "Delivery failed" alert.

Can you make and receive calls using the EE SIM? 

Is the SIM card pay as you go or pay monthly?

It is a monthly SIM.  And yes, I am receiving calls and text messages on the phone.

Have you tried changing the network selection to manual and trying a different available network, @APANT?
