Hi,
This path is invalid as I think EE have changed the menu structure to make it harder.
How do you turn off the daily roaming charge on a pay monthly phone - lots of info on how to turn it on, none on how to turn it off.
Thanks,
Jo.

No.
However, I have since spoken to customer services who informed me that the daily charge is only made when your mobile is abroad so should not be charged when the mobile returns to the UK. This is not clear on the website - it mentions the daily charge and how to turn it on suggesting that you need to turn it off when finished to stop the service and hence avoid the daily charge.
Can I suggest that EE adds content to the website that makes this absolutely clear? The customer service agent seemed to indicate that I am not the first person to call to ask this question.
As an aside, I am still confused as to the need for the charge in the first place. O2 don't charge for roaming and what has changed (i.e. what extra costs are EE incurring) that has forced this charge which did not exists previously?
Thanks,
Jo.

Every network operator can make different choices as to how roaming in different countries is charged for.
EE has chosen to have a daily or monthly charge in-place for EU-based roaming.

@Jolyon2 : The £2.47 daily EU roaming charge add-on when on contract cannot be removed from your EE a/c but is only incurred on the days when you choose to use any of your UK allowances in the EU.
