I had no problems until a few days ago. Now I am experiencing the same as you: I can call out but if I try to call in I get an "unable to connect" message.
I went to the local EE outlet today and was advised to update the software. I have done that but nothing has changed.
Since I am not alone it looks very much as if EE have done something strange.
