Hi,
I activated the Roam Further add-on when I was in the UK and received a text saying that it was activating.
However, I've arrived in the states and roaming isn't working!
When I arrived, I initially got a text that said "You have a Go Further add on" and that I could "use data (up to 50GB fair usage) as you would in the UK. BUT roaming wasn't working... and soon after I received another text from 1024 saying that I need to buy anotehr Roaming Data (which only has very limited offers at a very expensive price)...
I'm really confused, as it seems I've already paid for the Roam Further add-on and it says it's active on my account... How do I make this work?! I need to be in the states for +2wks, and REALLY NEED THIS TO WORK
I thought the purpose of the Roam Further add-on is that you can use your current data without buying another roaming data add-on?

@jmlee616 Have you enabled roaming from within your online account? The roam further add on only allows you to use your allowance while there is doesn’t enable roaming. If you have the roam further add on you do not need to purchase any other add on. Have you restarting your device since you got there.

As you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c.
Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto. Otherwise login to your MyEE account online & go to Menu > Account Settings > Parental and Data Controls > Roaming Abroad and also Call Abroad and Premium Rate. They will show as ticked if roaming and calling abroad is activated. If not ticked, can you activate these settings?
If you can't enable the Roaming Abroad and the Call Abroad & Premium Rate settings of your online MyEE, you will need to call CS. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. via Skype over WiFi. It should be free.
