hi there
I want to call an '09' premium number - but it will not let me.
I get the EE voice telling me that I cannot call this number - barred.
I called EE and they said that there is no bar on these types of numbers.
Does anyone know what the issue is here?
might it be because I have a £50 cap on my account?
thanks

Probably the cap. Some 09 numbers are eye-wateringly expensive, see here and it wouldn't take long to go over £50 in some cases.

@SamR1234 , have you made sure that you have full parental control? You can check this in settings via the EE App or website by logging into your account, this you can do if on a monthly contract, pay as you go, you will have to ring customer service and pay a refundable amount not sure if this applies to you, but could be the reason for not being able to use the premium numbers.
