Overloaded with spend cap messages today

From midnight last night I have received 160+ spend cap messages, one every 5 minutes. What has changed overnight EE??

I am long term out of the country and have a zero spend cap by choice but today something has changed as I would usually get a spend cap message if someone tried to call me on my UK mobile but today they are non stop to both myself and my husbands number. 

any ideas?  Have EE perhaps done some system update?

@tjbryant  Anything that EE might have done will not cause you to be the only one with this issue.    Your comment is the only one.    Have you tried just restarting the device?   

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

This is happening for me too. Spend cap message every 5 mins.  I am abroad and have an eSIM so don’t want or need to lift my spend cap.
