Has Wi-Fi calling stopped working for anyone else today 27/08/2025

Not using Starlink, on standard BT broadband.

All our EE mobile phones have lost Wi-Fi calling together

Rebooted and still not working

Hi @SparkGirl123

This has been fed back to the relevant team who has advised this would need to be raised directly with Starlink.

It could be worth checking with Starlink if Port Forwarding has been added.

Katie

Thank you @Katie_B

I assure you that I am in ongoing contact with Starlink about this, as I am with EE. Like with so many others in this thread, each company is referring us to the other - somebody needs to take responsibility/take it seriously and sort this as customers are suffering......

I have asked about Port Forwarding as you suggested.

Thought I’d replied but I can’t see my post, but mine has been down again for the last 24 hours 😭😡 I’m putting in a formal complaint to EE because it shouldn’t be for us customers to sort the issue, EE and Starlink should be talking to each other to find a permanent fix, as oriel2 says.

Hi again @Katie_B

So Starlink says Port Forwarding is something only a 3rd party router could support. So my question to you is: why is it only the Starlink-EE connection that would require purchasing a 3rd party router? Why don't other network providers appear to need this intermediary additional expense and complexity for consumers? Can you answer this for me?It doesn't bode well for a EE - Starlink direct to cell link up for hard to reach areas. Thanks.

Same here, stopped working a couple weeks ago. Friends phone on three connects to WiFi calling no problem through the same starlink router. No mobile signal at home with EE, do I have any options?

If we all put in official complaints, maybe EE will have to look into it properly? Here’s the link, oh it won’t let me paste a link to their own complaints form! Just type in ‘ee make a complaint’ and it’ll bring up your options including an online form. What I don’t understand is why it’s just started in the last few weeks, worked fine before 🤷‍♀️ something has changed somewhere. We don’t need new routers, we need EE and Starlink to talk to each. Please???

Update - Our wifi calling started working again at around midday today ... about 4 days after it stopped.  We'd not done anything and if EE, or anyone else on this thread,  have any insight into what might have changed I'd love to know in case this happens again

Hi @Katie_B

Are you able to provide an update on a solution. I have been experiencing the same issues especially over the last 4 weeks with EE saying I needed to contact Apple and Starlink, both of which confirmed they have no Wi-fi calling issues with any other carrier and that the issue appears to be EE specific. In EE’s defence the ‘small business technical department’ have provided prompt responses to my emails however no solutions to date and that the issue has been escalated to another department. I am now having to consider changing carrier (after being with EE for many years).

Is EE considering a reduction in monthly fees to impacted customers given it is not providing a full service? I.e. ‘unable to make and receive calls or texts using Wi-fi when in an area where EE phone and data signal is not available…’

Regards

Interesting suggestion to ask for a discount from EE, along with making a complaint - everyone here should do it.

I had a call from someone from the EE complaints team - they knew all about it from many others, and admitted (implicitly rather than explicitly) that it is an EE problem, that nothing we can do can fix it, that the random nature of it is because of the IP address issue, that a 'specialist team' is working on it and.........that they could tell me nothing about how long it might take to fix!!! Yes, I think a discount....
