Making or receiving calls

Hi, i have just had an i phone 7+ from my daughter unlocked but now i cant make or receive calls, can anyone help please?

Is it you that's using the unlocked iPhone 7 Plus? If you go into Settings, then General, does it come up with a network update?

hi Chris, i've only just seen your reply. thanks for taking the time but we have decided to purchase a new one for my wife, we got fed up of all the faffing about! sorry but thank you once again.
