Hello,
I am Abroad. My sim had been functional, I just noticed I am not receiving any signals any more. I logged into my EE account and I don't see my sim number there either.
How do I make sure my SIM is active and if it is deactivated or something, how do I reactivate it.
Please note I am abroad and international calls are way too expensive, is there any live chat or email support where I can get my issue resolved?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Kind Regards

Is your SIM a PAYG one, or pay-monthly? Your symptoms are consistent with a PAYG line that has been hibernated due to non-usage.
If so, EE has no email support or live-chat for PAYG - you will need to call.

Hi Bristolian,
I called from abroad, they put me on a long hold. Long story short, they first suspended my SIM (without sending me any notification via email or SMS) and then just canceled my SIM. I now cannot log into my bank account or any other services for that they send SMS verifications.
I am now locked out of everywhere, my bank accounts, other financial accounts, social media, and all those places where I have setup two step verifications. It is pretty frustrating. 😞

Hi @Drfixit, thanks for you message. I'm sorry to hear your SIM has been cancelled, this does happen after 9 months of inactivity on Pay As You Go accounts.
I'd recommend reaching out to update your number with the companies that have it, you can order a new SIM with a new number here Best Pay As You Go SIM page.
Leanne.

@Drfixit , if you are abroad and need a new SIM card, it will only be sent to your UK address and will need to first be used in the UK. So you would need someone to activate it and make a chargeable call or text before sending it out to you.
