If you get the £25 roaming package for a 14 day trip, but it straddles a billing day, will you get billed for 2 months? Ie £50?

@MattP3 : Not quite! You'll get charged pro-rata for the part month before your billing date & the full £25 for the following billing month.

Not at all surprised

@Ianturnerjsy @MattP3 The roam abroad pass is a monthly recurring bundle with minimum term of 1 month. If you also set for it to cancel 30 days or less when adding the bundle, you will only be charge a total of 30 days on the bill.

@Ali_A : Can you really set a termination date when you 1st order it? How?
How does your response accord with:
If you add this service in the middle of your monthly billing period then the cost in the first month will be prorated.

@XRaySpeX The best way to do this is by calling Customer Service to add the bundle. The service guide can set the end date for it at the same time.

@XRaySpeX for simplicity lets say the bill runs from the 1st each month.
If you add the bundle on the 12th August without setting an end date, the next bill (1st Sept) would show pro-rated 12th-31st for the backdated period & full month 1st to 30th for the month ahead.
Scenario 1- You come back from trip on 4th Sept and cancel through App/text message. The bundle would be cancelled from the end of the current month (i.e. 30th Sept) and no further charges. In total you've been billed for a month and 20 days.
Scenario 2- You come back from your trip on the 4th Sept and call Customer Service on 150 requesting it to be cancelled immediately.
As September has been billed for 1 month and 20 days, the October bill will then have a prorated backdated refund to cover from the 12th Sept to 30th Sept. In total you'll have paid for only 1 month.
Scenario 3- It's a 14 day trip and you come back on the 26th August and cancel via App/Text. The bundle would end on the 30th August and as its all in the same billing month the September bill would only show a charge from 12Aug to 12Sept.
Or Scenario 4- Ask Customer Service to start the bundle from 12th Aug and set end date for 4th Sept. The 1st Sept bill will only show a 1month charge charge from 12th Aug to 12th Sept.

@Ali_A : I agree with your Scenarios 1 & 3.
Regarding Scenarios 2 &4 there is nowt of that ilk in How Do I Get the Roam Abroad Pass? . In fact it states when removing the pass that:
If you cancel during your monthly billing period you’ll be charged £25 for the full month, not just for the days you had the pass.
Also there is nowt about setting an end date when you start it.

@XRaySpeX Most Roam Abroad bundles added cross the bill date within its 30 days. Although not mentioned on the website, calling customer service is an option to add the bundle and set the end date, which would ensure being billed only 1 months worth 😊

@Ali_A : Then update the online Help info accordingly. Users can't rely on undocumented terms & I shan't until it is.
The Roam Abroad Pass costs £25 per billing month from the billing month you order it (text ROAMING PASS to 150) until the billing month you cancel it (text STOP ROAMING PASS to 150). For all billing months during which you have the Pass it is charged at the full £25. However if the Pass is carried over from the 1st billing month to the next it will be charged pro-rata for that 1st month alone.
