The current 3 rings is insufficient for me. I have tried several methods without success. Anyone know one that works? Thanks.

I have been advised by Lesley_W of EE Support team that the maximum ring time before going to answerphone is 20 seconds and cannot be changed.
If I could get it to 25 Seconds this would certainly help me.

What are the methods you've tried thus far?
Ring-time-before-divert is set in chunks of 5seconds, not "number of times ringtone"

I firstly tried **61*101**30# and then **61+447953222222**30#
In the first one I was told the number 101 was the EE Code and then the second one was the EE telephone number.
Sadly neither worked.
Help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @Leatherman
Welcome to our community.
Our default ringer length is 20 seconds and we cannot amend this. If this isn't the case and it seems to be shorter, our tech team can look into this.

Thank you for your reply and welcome.
My iPhone 15 rings 3 times, which is approx 20 seconds. I note you cannot amend this and wonder why? My previous provider was Plusnet and I was able to set a 30 second ring time with them prior to the EE takeover. I had an iPhone 13 then so is it my present 15 that’s the problem?
I am experiencing another issue with my iPhone 15 relating to the battery performance. I appreciate this is not an EE issue but wonder if anyone has had a similar experience.
My present phone was 2 years old in October last, and having recently downloaded the latest operating system, IOS 18.1.1, a fully charged battery will not last a day now. Prior to the upgrade it would go a day and a half. Now it depletes considerably whilst on standby!
I remember well my previous iPhone 13 did exactly the same when it was 2 years old and, following the very next upgrade, the battery’s efficiency dropped. Hence I changed to the 15.
At that time I had a discussion with Apple and was told I was unlucky as the battery was obviously failing.
Could it be Apple build a spike in the IOS to discharge the battery and hopefully sell more phones? Seems more than coincidence that two consecutive phones have performed in exactly the same manner, and in the same period of time.
Or am I just unlucky?
Cheers
Leaatherman.

I'm pretty sure the EE network default for ring-time has been 25 seconds for several years now.
You can sometimes tweak it to 30seconds using GSM *# codes, or alter it downwards using your phone's menu system.

Thanks for confirming that @Leatherman
20 seconds is our default option for the network and not handset dependant. I appreciate the feedback and will pass it along.
As for your battery issue, I'd recommend speaking with our technical team and they can check some settings and see if they can see a cause for this.

Try reading through this past thread - there's a few suggestions in there. I can see Lesley's reply above yours in this thread.

Thank you Bristolian for your help with my problem; it is much appreciated.
I have tried the various suggested dial in codes and they fail each time. I note success was attained on an Android phone. Mine is an iPhone.
I haven’t been able to try the SIM in an older phone yet as one is not currently available to me.
As and when I can I will check other iPhone users and if they experience a longer ring time (5 to 6 rings) it might mean moving to another provider.
Cheers
