How long does it take for an upgrading tariff to connect to 5G

Hello. 

A quick question that I wondered if someone could answer for me please?

I am in the process of looking at upgrading my current plan (which I have had since 2017). This plan only gives me 4G coverage. I know that 5G coverage is available in my area as a friend of mine is on EE and gets 5G on his iPhone 15 Pro. 

I was wondering, if I upgrade my present plan to one of the current ones (which are 5G) how long does it take for my account to reflect this change, and then connect me on 5G ?

Hi @Fatboy71 .    if you’re going in Sim only then it literally can be within 24 hours.     Obviously 5G device is required 😆.   I’ve done upgrades and it’s literally changed within a few minutes 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

It would be upgrading a sim only plan to a sim only plan. I have a 5G device 😉

You will get access to 5G services as soon as you have a 5G-phone on a 5G-plan, in a 5G-coverage area.

Plan changes are normally done immediately if you request them by phone, and are often active before you even terminate the call.
