phone upgrade using esim but can't get it to connect so have no phone access any

Did you transfer an existing eSIM from your old phone when setting up your new one?

Thank you - yes I did, now told to turn the phone off with sim inside for 24 hours, which I’m very sceptical about.

Hi @Tim211,

It can take up to 24 hours to activate a new SIM, but you don't need to leave your phone switched off.
