I needed to buy a 4G phone since my old 2/3G mobile phone stating that I needed to 'insert SIM card, which lead me to believe that the phone is no longer accepting the SIM card as perhaps EE cut the 2/3G off. This new mobile phone, which is 4G took my old SIM card, and I was able to make a phone call to another mobile phone. I wanted to confirm, is my original direct debit which was using the same SIM card, but in my old phone, still be the same in my new phone? Will I get cut off, or is the phone still still going to work, with the bill next month? Do I need to contact EE directly, or it is will it still function as is?

Yes, your plan and direct debit will continue as normal even if you're using your SIM in a new phone.
