Hi there @richxman
Thanks for coming here 🙂
The network standard is 20 seconds ringing time, does the device ring for this long before going to voicemail?
If not, please try typing this directly into your phone's keypad (you may need to hit the call button too):

Some of us are getting older, slower and deafer. My mobile does not live in an open pocket all day. A lot of the time 20 seconds is just too tight a time to get to answer my mobile, and I've just missed calls on several occasions. For me this is an serious accessibility problem with EE.
I have tried setting the delay to 30 seconds (using the command above ending in 30#) , but it doesn't work on EE. Other providers still support a 30 second wait time. Why can't EE?
I have read elsewhere that people have managed to get a 30 second ringing time by temporarily putting their SIM card into an old mobile, but I don't have one.
It would be really, really, helpful if EE could support a 30 second ringing time.
Please!

Unsurprising, I suppose, but that solution simply does not work. I have tried it multiple times. Why can we not just turn off the 'voicemail'. My Ansaphone allows much more time to get to the phone. Not all of us are as fast on our feet as we once were. The lack of a sensible working solution to this problem is appalling, disappointing and short sighted to say the very least.

You can text 'VM OFF' to 150 to turn the voicemail off, if you need to

Yes, I understand that I can do that on a mobile, but my problem is with a landline phone. I do have voicemail on my mobile and it works well (not EE or BT!) My problem is that voicemail on my landline kicks in before the Ansaphone activates and does not give me enough time to get to the phone if I'm in the garden or going up or down the stairs. I'm an older person so don't move as quickly as I once did! The rural village where I live still has copper wire connections to the house and we have only recently been able to go digital! What I want to do is disable voicemail on my landline phone. I have already spent ages speaking to EE about deleting voicemail from the service, but am told that this is not possible. Can I disable it on my landline and if so how, bearing in mind that I do not have a text capable telephone?
