Hi,
I have an EE pay-monthly SIM, and this number is linked to my Indian bank account. Unfortunately, I’m not receiving OTPs from the bank on my EE SIM.
I initially thought the issue might be with my phone, but after testing my partner's Vodafone SIM in the same device, I successfully received an OTP for their bank. This suggests the problem isn’t with the phone itself.
Should I request a replacement SIM from EE, or consider switching networks entirely? It’s crucial for me to receive OTPs for banking transactions.
Note: I do receive UK banks OTPs on the same EE sim without any issue- only from India/indian bank I don't receive,
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sat

I suspect you're probably falling foul of EE's anti-spam filtering which has been great at reducing SMS-spam, but has caught out some foreign bulk-senders.
I understand that guidance was issued, but examples such as yours occasionally crop up. If you contact EE-CS and follow their technical escalation process, some agents (possibly "Level 2" ones) may be able to check SMS logs for whether the messages in question, are reaching EE's core network.

When did this problem start - have you been able to receive OTP from India in the past?
