Cost of calls/texts from Greece to UK

Hi,

my wife will be shortly going to Greece and I am finding it quite difficult to see what the costs are for her to ring/text me in UK. She has a SIM only monthly contract which has been out of contract now for two or thee years. But it is not at all clear in the Roaming section when I look at our account what the cost will be. Any help appreciated. thanks

Hi @izziememe

If you head to the roaming cost calculator, pop in that your Wife is travelling to Greece. You'll also have to select whether it's a pay monthly contract or pay as you go. If it's pay monthly, you'll also have to pop in whether the current contract started before or after 7th July 2021 and it will tell you exactly what is included within your Wife's allowances.

From what you say she started her current contract well before 07/07/2021 & so should not incur any extra charges for calling or texting you from Greece.

As it is part of EU, you may use your usual UK allowances there with up to 50 GB (contract) or 25 GB (PAYG) data per billing month if you have more. If on contract & your contract started after 07/07/2021 there'll be a £2 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU or you may buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £10 / month.

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to check roaming is enabled on your account.
