I am unable to send messages to any shortcode numbers including 150. I can not see any reason why in my settings. Any idea on what could be causing it?

Hi @Sarah8990

  1. What device do you have.
  2. Have you checked the SMS number in your app settings
  3. Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract.
  4. Are you in the UK.

Thanks

Hi @Sarah8990

What error message do you get when you try to send to a short code?

If possible can you screenshot the error and post here? Just be sure to remove any identifiable information first

Thanks

This is the error I get with ant shortcode number I message. When I click on options it says - resend or delete.

Can you send texts to ordinary nos.?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I'm not surprised that sending to +44150 fails - the number is simply 150. The +44 is accounted for in the SMSC number.

It's odd that incoming texts appear as from that number, but all the same.

Yes, I can send messages to normal numbers just fine.

The +44 doesn't make a difference. I have tried it both ways and doesn't work either way.
