I've been using Messages and sending and receiving texts fine, until today. Now when I try to send one I get the error message: Can't send message with EE - error 0.
I can't change the SMSC as that option is greyed out on my phone.
Is there another way I can change the SMSC, please?

I had this problem , I found by changing the messenger app and set new app as default cured the problem

I am having the same issue, but only when I text certain numbers. Some are fine.

Hello @Katylouise1.
Thanks for coming back to the community.
What phone are you using?
Can you receive texts from the numbers effected?
Have you tried the above recommendations?
Katie 🙂

I am having the same issue.
I have the S22 Ulta, and it appears that i can send messages apart from premium rate or chargeable no's. Like send a text to 81215 and i get the error all the time?
I am using google messages.
Thanks
Phil

A fix I have found, which sounds a bit ridiculous, is to delete the mobile number in the person's contact, and then add it back in under the same contact.
Hope same fix works for you.
Cheers

I'm now having this problem. I tried to enter a radio competition (so a premium number) however I get this code error. I can send to normal numbers fine however.

Hi @Hughesie27.
Thanks for coming to the community.
Does this happen with other premium numbers?
If yes, are you aware if you have a spend cap on your account?
Speak soon,
Katie 🙂

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure about other premium numbers but I've never had an issue entering this competition before. And I've not changed anything on my account recently with regards to caps.
