Suddenly I can’t receive text messages but can send them. Can someone help please, thank you.

In this case, please get in touch with our tech guides on either 150 from the EE phone, or 07953 966 150 from any other phone, The team can check everything at our end and see what could be causing this for you.

If you send a text message to yourself, do you receive it? Try also texting NUMBER to 150 - does it send? Do you receive the expected reply?
When did you last receive a text message?

Looks like I can’t send messages to myself either. Tried to send NUMBER to 150 and it worked. Last time I received a message was in June from 150. To community with people I’m using WhatsApp instead.

To be clear, do you get an error message when trying to send the message? Or does the message appear to send OK, but you don't receive it?
When you say "it worked" in relation to the 150 text, did you receive a response?
Are you on PAYG or pay-monthly?

When I tried to send message to myself there was an error message (! Not delivered). Other people tried to text me and got error message “cannot deliver”. My account is pay as you go. Regarding to 150 message I got response as per below, just removed my phone number:
Your mobile number is ******** and you're on an EE plan. You can manage this in the EE app or ee.co.uk/EE

Odd that the message appears to send, but from what you're describing, I suspect your PAYG line has been hibernated due to non-usage. Can you make & receive calls OK?

Yes I can call or receive calls ok.

Don’t think this is the case as I have made calls and received calls, also I never received a messsage about my number being inactive

Are you in the UK or roaming?
Have you tried restarting the device and trying to send the message again?
When was the last time you made a call?

Hi Leanne,
I am in UK, yes I did restart my Phone twice, removed my SIM card and put in back, I did restart my network settings, updates are up to date, have free storage on phone but still not receiving text messages. Last time I made a call was on 29/05/25.
