Hi,
My husband was able to received calls the morning after he arrived Toronto, then he changed it to a Data roaming sim so he has data while he is in Canada. But he tried to change it back to his UK sim so he can see who called but it didn’t work. He cannot receive calls anymore. His mom tried to phone him but kept saying unavailable.
then I tried with my phone. My Phone (UK EE) is able to receive SMS but when my friend called.. also unavailable. Roaming is on… we used Roaming in Spain while we were there last week. So can anyone help? Is it some sort of setting we need to change? Already tried restarting our phones…
thanks

Hello @BaoYu ,
Welcome to the community,
Did you receive the welcome message from EE?
Have you tried manually doing a network search to see if another network will work?
Since you have roaming enabled on your account, nothing else I can suggest, sorry.

Hi,
yes I received a welcome message. And also text messages from my friend in the UK.
Nextwork is automated …tried connected to different networks by itself.
thanks

@BaoYu , if you go to network and then make sure that you set the network to manual and try that way to see if another network works.

I tried. Still doesn’t work. But it should jump I to voicemail right? Instead of saying unavailable?

@BaoYu , yes, if you set up voicemail, it should definitely go there. Did you set it up?
Have you got a signal showing?

Yes . Voicemail set up and have signals

Basics then.
Are you able to send & receive texts?
That proves a local network connection, and thus roaming being active.
Manually changing to alternate local networks often resolves glitches such as "network A doesn't work for calls" or "network B has slow data"

Thanks. But I tried two of the four networks available.. two don’t work (still cannot receive calls) and the other two don’t get signals (showing SOS)
