Answerphone messages from No Caller ID

sb_inspired

I am looking for some help and wondered if anyone here could help me?

I get a lot of calls from my local hospital but as they are No Caller ID numbers, my nurse says she cannot leave a message on my answerphone if I miss the call. She said I needed to change something in my settings to allow her to leave a message. Does anyone know how you do this?
i am guessing it is something with my network supplier, which is why I am trying EE first but I have no idea, Google wasn’t very helpful either!

Thank you, Sarah.

Hello @sb_inspired ,

Welcome to the community,

You will need to click on settings on your phone and then scroll down to settings, click on phone, make sure that caller ID is shown as enabled and silence unknown callers is switched off, see if that works, this is what I have on IPhone, suspect it is the same for other phones, it is not a network thing, but the way the phone is set up.

What phone do you have? You should be able to check this by looking up your phone on the internet or have a help file on your phone.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

I appreciate your nurse has good intentions, but there's no network setting to allow voicemail to be left from particular numbers and not others.

If a call is missed on your phone - be it a DND or unanswered - and your voicemail is active, then a message can be left.
