30 minutes plus on hold, issue not solved, and then the line disconnected.

I’ve truly never had more of a headache than dealing with this company. I’ve had to call three times since opening my account Wednesday as the rep in the store decided to open two accounts in my name. I write this as I’m currently on hold AGAIN after 45 minutes from the first call of an issue and then the line disconnected. I mentioned to the worker in the store when i signed up i needed international service, was assured i had it. I’m now in Paris with absolutely no service, and been told on the phone that my SIM card isn’t fit for roaming. First i was told there was a bill that’s why roaming didn’t work, which i paid in the store, Have a receipt for. Then told it’s just the wrong sim plan. I’m immediately switching service the second i am back in the UK. This is a joke, and a horrendous customer experience.

@Kkfox  All SIM cards can roam it’s an account feature that hat has to be enabled in order to have a working signal when abroad.     Did you check this ?  Did you text ROAMING to 150 before you left the UK ?

While you might of asked about an international service you still have to make sure it’s enabled.   No EE tariff is an international service unless roaming is enabled.

@Kkfox , just to add to what @Chris_B  has said, if you have Skype, you can ring customer service for free to enable roaming, if you are unable to do this yourself:

Have you rebooted your phone?  Of course if you did not set up roaming in settings or online with EE, then as @Chris_B  has written, this needed to be set up, as it is not automatic, international will work once set up.

Weekends can be busy, as there are not so many staff working as during the week. Best to try first thing in the morning, around 0800 hours, which in France would be 0900 hours.
