Sorry, but that doesn't work. You get the offer of their new visual service which takes you around in ever decreasing circles!
I eventually got through to a tech guy in Wales, who was initially helpful, but when I explained that I was calling about the spalling service EE provides in Shetland (one bar on iPhone 16Pro with call boost in central Lerwick, no internet, not enough signal speed to do a speed check, etc, he insisted he'd do a check on my phone, which would take a couple of minutes. I was then disconnected and shortly afterwards received two text messages. The first one advised that the tech guy had been disconnected but was unfortunately unable to return my call (If EE cant call their customer owing to signal quality, maybe there's something wrong with the signal?). The second text advised me that they had run a test and there were nor problems in my area - only problem was that the post code for "my area" was300 miles from Shetland! I tried to recontact Ee, but continuously ended up getting a text message advising the there was no problem in "my area" - 300 miles away!
I've submitted a formal complaint.

Post moved to a new thread - the "visual service" you mention is 150 option 1. Conventional IVR & queuing is available on option 2.
Not sure what your underlying issues are on Shetland, what you mean by "call boost in central Lerwick" or "spalling service", but there's a few misconceptions in your post. There's nothing inherently wrong with "only one bar" - it's all I have now, and I'm getting decent 20Mbps+ speeds. Data speeds are as much driven by the underlying capacity on the serving site/sector, as they are coverage quality - and the on-screen bars are only ever intended as a rough guide.
My experience of EE's 4G service on Shetland is excellent, so I'm intrigued what your service issues actually are.
