Morning @joshua222
Pay as you go SIM cards will go into hibernation if the account has no chargeable activity. When your number is in hibernation, it is still possible to get it back until you’ve reached 269 days of no chargeable activity.
After 269 days of inactivity we’ll send you a text to let you know the number will be disconnected within 24 hours.
After 273 days the number will be recycled and lost.
Please see our What is pay as you go and flex hibernation, and how do I stop it? article for full details.
Leanne.

@joshua222 When did you last use this number? And is it on contract or PAYG ? If it’s a PAYG you might want to read THIS if it’s a contract number are you still paying for that contract?

Can you receive other text messages on this same phone? How about other automated or authentication texts?
If you can't, then the questions in the previous reply will help ascertain why not.

No nothing is coming through

Maybe back in 2019 but TikTok won't do anything because I gave them my details and they said it's all incorrect but the number I'm using is basically not in service any more but I still need text messages coming through just for 2 steps but none of them are coming through

@joshua222 If you last used that sim around 2019 then unfortunately you no longer have use of that number and it’s gone for good. A unused sim after 9 months is fully deactivated and is not retrievable there isn’t an unlimited amount of phone numbers and they get recycled. Nothing can be done to get this number back in use for you.

Ok, so I've lost my tiktok account for good because they only send the 2 step to the phone number

@joshua222 In essence yes. And this is because you didn’t keep using that sim. The number doesn’t belong to you you are authorised to use it providing you keep using it.

But I have been using it for 2 step verifications, so I don't understand why turn it off by both sides

It was a contract but they switched it to pay as you go sim because the contract ended on it
