Upgraded few weeks ego - new S23 Ultra - and since first day poor signal - 1 bar only, network cutting off all the time. I can see 5G only few second - checked internet speed in all my area B77 in and autdoor and max 50Mb/s  most of checks 4-8 Mb/s. when i upgraded have been told EE-our best speed - unlimited broadband. I have only that EE internet in my home.... i cant set up Router mobile - never 5Ghz only 2.4 Ghz and still cutting off. Checked all settings network - reset , checking preference network- still max 1 bar signal and network cutting down. It was better in my old S20 FE 5G.  Whats happed with EE ? Thats true its technical issue in new S23 ULTRA ? in all networks a lot of issue with poor signal and no internet conection. What i can do ????

It doesn't seem clear from your post if you're comparing a 5G phone with a 4G one? That would explain the perceived reduced coverage if so.

Having "only one bar" itself shouldn't cause concern, the onscreen indicators are a rough guide and two phones can often display different bars for the exact same signal. What do you mean by "network cutting off"? Do you mean you're losing coverage when other EE phones aren't? Or something else?

Same issue with mine got s21 Ultra, I was out of UK for couple of weeks, when I got back it meant to be a 5g network its nit even giving me the speed of 2g let alone 3g or 4g. There were issues with ee network before as I wasn't getting any good signal in my house but it's just gone down hill. I am taking under consideration to leave EE and find a different network provider because I'm getting no where with EE, we are paying for a service which isn't there.

Hi @Balli1,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Have you activated WiFi Calling on your phone to help with indoor coverage?

Does the Network Status Checker report any problems in your area?

James

Unfortunately it's not just an indoor issue , where ever in city I am I will be lucky if I can place a one what's app call without no signal notifications, there are no issues  with network when you check  it on network status checker but the as an end user i am barely getting a 2g speed and im paying for a 5g service, wifi calling been on in my handset from day one, it seems like all our complaints are lost in translation somewhere

Hi @Balli1,

If no issues are shown, please select the 'report a problem' button. This will raise a ticket with our network team and you should receive an update within a few days.

This is not strictly true, you don't pay for access to any particular technology but for usage of the EE network via whatever "G" is available. 4G is generally regarded as the base layer now.

If you're not getting a reliable voice or data service, the technology is almost immaterial but you should report it as suggested.

I'm having the exact same issue on my Galaxy S23 Ultra. I had a Huawei P20 pro prior to the S23 and had similar data speed issues on that.

EE are conning their customers and should be prosecuted for false and misleading advertising.

Their 4G network is appalling, so they need to abandon 5G.

I read somewhere recently that  the networks know that 5G would never deliver what they claim in their adverts.

I have had enough of EE after being with them for 10 years and WILL NOT renew once my contract ends in Feb 2025.

I'm going to O2

WHY SHOULD PEOPLE PAY FOR BROADBAND?  THEIR CELLPHONE NETWORK SHOULD WORK!

WHY SHOULD PEOPLE PAY TWICE JUST TO GET ACCESS TO THE INTERNET?

YOU PEOPLE ARE TAKING THE P*SS.

EE refuse to accept their network is as poor as it is. What you say is 100% right.

These companies only get the message when their profits take a hit, so junk EE in favour of someone else.
