Hello,
The signal on 4G or WCDMA is really bad on my mobile phone. It has got worse over the last few weeks. I only have 1 bar showing of signal. I am in Woburn Sands. Please fix this. Reading other posts. It looks like a lot of people in other locations are reporting the same problem.
Thanks

3G (WCDMA) is in the process of being switched off, and there is very likely ongoing optimisation activity related to this, that will affect 4G (LTE) & 2G (GSM).
The onscreen signal bars are only a rough guide, and "only" having one bar should not cause any service issues. Are you having any problems making or receiving calls? Sending or receiving text messages? Or using mobile data?
Any recognised local degradation may also be reported on the "check status" option of https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee

Hello,
Thanks for getting back to me. I am having a problem with the quality of the call when I make and receive calls. I am frequently finding that the sound isn't clear. ie. I can't hear the full conversation.
Thanks,
Ann

Hi @Ann103
Do you have the same happen in other areas?
Are you aware of any other EE customers affected in the same area?
Leanne.

Hello Leanne,
I don't know anyone else with EE. The reception seems better away from the area. Although, I have only made calls from my house location. I previously had BT which had a really good reception. Before that I had EE and didn't have a good reception in this area. When I first transferred from BT to EE the reception was fine, but has certainly got worse in the last few weeks. I am moving house in about 6 weeks time, so I guess, that really if it is just an issue in this location, it is only a short term problem and I need to see how it is in the new location. It seems to be a bit hit and miss. I made a call earlier today and the reception was terrible, but I've just received a call now and the reception was fine. Don't know if the hot weather affects it.
Thanks,
Ann

Check whether your phone has the VoLTE (Android) or 4G-calling (Apple) indicator when you have call quality problems.

- No network in Vienna in Roaming
- [Roaming] Data works but not calls, "Server not available" message in Roaming
- "You have dialled an incorrect number" calling Tesco in Mobile Services
- Manual network selection - dual EE signal listed in Mobile Network discussions
- Poor Mobile Data & Signals in London E2 Region & Elsewhere in Mobile Network discussions
