Tethering Xbox One

Due to reasons, I am having to use my Xbox One through tethering to my 5G phone.

According to google speed tests I can get sometimes up to 80mbps on my phone and even faster if using a VPN. However, when using the Xbox network speed test, it is lucky to get into double figures. Games are unplayable due to lag and will disconnect after only a few moments.

Is EE throttling my Xbox? Specific ports perhaps? I have an unlimited package with no max download speed? If asked, would they even admit it? And is there a way to resolve the problem?
