I recently got a Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, through a promotion, with an EE Sim plan. I have given the watch to my husband as I have an Apple watch and phone. He has a S25 Ultra and is not on EE. When he tries to set up the mobile plan for the watch it asks for a QR or activation code. How can I get either of these.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@June58UK
If he has paired his watch to his phone the set up he is going through will be to add a watch plan on his network billing account.
As long as his network also allows watch plans, he'll have to contact the network he is on for the QR /Activation code as this will not be linked to EE.
Did you purchase a monthly contract for the Watch and SIM together? Was it directly from EE?

Hi @June58UK,
Welcome to the Community!
You would need to pair the watch to a phone on the EE network to be able to use the watch. Do you have any other Samsung phones on your account?

Unfortunatly I do not have another Samsung phone on my EE acount. Does this mean I am paying a subscription for my watch and cannot use it?

We got the watch as a promotion for changing from BT broadband to EE broadband, The EE shop where we made the changes did not explain that we were entering into a data contract for the watch and that we needed a Samsung phone on EE to make use of the watch data plan,We are now having to pay for a data plan and cannot use it. Is there anyone from EE on here who can advise as to what to do,

@June58UK Just to clarify have you had it confirmed when speaking to us that you have a separate contract for the watch? As potentially there could be a couple of different scenarios.
A watch would either be sold on contract with a data plan and the contract would be for 24 months, or the watch is sold/provided without any plan. Then once you have linked it up with your phone you are able to then buy a mobile plan via the watch app which should be easy to cancel if that has been done.
If you have been sold a contract for the watch though and this was not made clear to you when taking the watch in the EE store, then I would recommend giving us a call on 150 and the retail complaints team would be the best team to speak to for more advice.

Thank you for your reply. We were given the watch,free as part of a promotion when we swapped our broadband from BT to EE. We were put on a data plan for the watch, but this was not made clear at the time and it was not made clear that it had to be paired with a Samsung phone on EE I only have an iPhone on EE and would have pointed this out if I had known.

TBH I'd call as suggested & get this double checked. By the sounds of it this "free" watch doesn't exist & is likely being charged as a line on the account

@June58UK I would definitely give us a call on 150 at this point to help clear up the situation with the watch and confirm if it is a contract because it does sound like it may be being charged. If so as I say the best course of action is speaking to our retail team to see what they can do to help resolve this.
