Good Evening
Has anyone else's WiFi Calling suddenly stopped working today ?? (31st)
I've tried all the usual fixes. Restarted everything. Everything up to date. But still won't connect.
Kind of stuck without it as no signal whatsoever without it.

A very important point indeed - Wi-fi calling is vital.
As an Orange / EE customer of 25+ years - the last 14 years I've lived in an urban town (midlands) that EE just don't seem to be able to get a signal to in my area - so WiFi calling is essential (I'm not saying any other provider could get a signal to our street - but thats not the point - the total unacknowledged EE 'outage' was shocking)
And to add insult to injury - 48 hours after reporting the issue & then total EE silence either by email, text or social media - just got the following text:
Network update: We could not find a problem in XXXXX. This may have been a one off and we therefore recommend you restart your device. If you are still having problems, please call us on 150. Your Report ID is XXXXX.
so it was just a 'one-off' after all.😏

For me, WiFI calling was the only reason I joined EE. I was with Vodafone (from when they were called Vodacom!) and had a femtocell when we moved here 10 years ago as no signal from any provider. When they stopped supporting that and switched to WiFI calling their implementation was so poor I moved to EE (after buying SIMs from various providers to see which worked best). So if this turns out to be more than just a one-off, I'll take my business elsewhere.

I had a similar story, wifi calling is vital and maybe this thread might emphasise its vital nature to EE, and hopefully they take it seriously
I certainly have received no apology and I can't understand why they didn't make more of it

Wifi calling dropped again today 03/08/2024, but when I saw that switched off and on again and it returned.Pretty brutal, but when it's all you've got...

There's some lovely conspiracy theories in the most recent posts, and whilst some frustration is understandable after any major service outage...
This outage was treated as the highest priority fault and would have had major focus - the fact that a fix was delayed, is no reflection on a lack of importance. Fault fixes are usually quick, but sometimes do get dragged out if the issue is complex!
In no way is WiFi-calling used as an excuse to not install new network sites, but it does sit alongside the mobile network as an alternative radio access layer. In many indoor locations, internal coverage solutions are deployed - but with the best intentions, 100% national indoor coverage is unlikely to be achieved. WiFi-calling does provide an in-fill anywhere that indoor service is not usable.

Hi. I may have solved this on my Pixel 4e just by restarting the wi-fi calling service. I went to settings, searched for wi-fi calling. Turned it off, waited 30 seconds, then turned it on again.
Either that, or actually calling 150 somehow magically reconnected it

Leanne_T assuming you're an EE rep, where were you when the outage happened?
Not much use offering platitudes a week later, what we needed was a response from EE at the time! Just an acknowledgement that it was a nationwide outage and not a problem with my phone.
Absolutely furious with EE's complete lack of response on that front!!

Wifi calling cut out again today but returned once I switched the phone off then on again (really, that old chestnut) Perhaps a signal could be given when it stops, it is pretty much required these days,

Happened again today and again switching the phone off and on fixed it - getting a bit tedious
