The EE signal in and around London is terrible

The EE signal in and around London is terrible. For months now the signal is lacking. What are we paying for a service provider in the technological advances of communication these days to have signals drop, no 5g, continual drop in signal.
this is not a devise issue as I have had this issue with Iphone 13 and also my new Iphone 16.

Be honest EE, what is going on, don’t just state, what is the signal status report in your area and expect the users to look into your issue!

Morning @Cos6

Thanks for coming to the community.

Can you make calls, send texts and use data when you have a 4G signal?

Do you usually have 5G in the same area?

Speak soon 🙂

Leanne.

Yep alreay turned on.

EE said they decommissioned a mast in this are and it could take months before it was replaced.   It's now nearly February 2025 ...... still waiting!

Coverage in London worst it’s ever been for EE’s entire history ( and Oranges before that). Struggling across Westminster daily and have been for months. No 5g, 4g drop to 1 or 2 bars or nothing - Covent Garden last night, zero. Tube too gone unlike before.

I am on a Full Works type plan and an S23 and so can benefit from the best possible speeds- yes lucky me- but I genuinely don't have any major issues in London- and I travel all over it a lot on foot/ public transport?

If you are on an Essentials Plan your highest potential speed (100Mbps) is lower than a Full Works plan and so this may impact your experience in busy areas of course- just a thought.

BTW, if you can sometimes switching to 4G only gives a more stable experience- just my experience.

Also if you have WiFi switched on (and I think WiFi Boost free extra, maybe everyone has it?) -there are a lot of Hotspots now in London...

I have a VF work phone and EE is lightyears ahead generally re data speeds indoor and outdoor, no context- but of course no network is 100% - buy a cheap VF / O2 / 3  (check MSE online?) and compare experiences....
