Signal issues in Ludlow

If I work in the area where both masts are down would I still get compensation off my bill? Also any update of the problem. Network status only gives you a countdown or it’s taken longer than expected which isn’t good enough for a paying customer.

The vast majority of customers just want their phones to work, and are rarely interested in the specific technical details of a fault. Those specific details may be confidential, and/or technical in nature and even when not - I suspect would be of very limited interest to most users.

EE do offer WiFi-calling as a mitigation against any indoor coverage issues.

I understand fingers crossed it’ll get sorted soon.
Thank you for your reply.

I would also like an update on the problem in Ludlow. I use my 5g for work and don't have wifi at home as I rely on the unlimited data I have invested in. Having to rely on my housemates hotspot when they are home to communicate with family and colleagues. Both signal and 5g symbols have been missing from my screen all weekend and 'SOS' has been showing at times. Really disappointed at the outage but also the lack of communication!

We shouldn't be having to look to a community forum for answers, can someone please let us know what is happening with signal and data coverage in Ludlow?

Good morning @mtj1989

Thanks for coming here.

I am sorry to hear you are also experiencing signal issues.

I would recommend signing up for updates using the Status Checker, when more information is available you will be notified.

4th day now that my phone says emergency calls only, I'm disabled and can't make any calls to my family who live 30 miles away to let them know I'm okay. Can't call the doctors nothing.

EE when will you sort it out?

Hi @Kerry19721 There's a few other posts in this same thread discussing an outage in Ludlow. I'd recommend using WiFi-calling as a short-term measure anytime you have indoor coverage issues for whatever reason.

The online status tool is useful for checking local service issues anytime - https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker - "check service status"

Hi bristolian

Thankfully I've not long changed my broadband from EE to BT fibre, my poor old neighbour has popped to use it while having a cuppa.

It's still not on as we all pay the bill but can't use it normally.

I received a text today saying 'the fix is taking longer than expected' and a promise to text me again in a week on 27th October. This is not good enough.

I assume many of your customers including those on this thread do not have wifi due to having bought unlimited data from you. We have no other way of contacting friends / family / healthcare providers / working.

We are paying for a service you are failing to provide - the least you can do is tell us what is causing the issue and a realistic timeline of how long it will take to fix so that we can take appropriate measures.

Are you willing to provide a free broadband service to myself and @Kerry19721  @SaucyJames_01 so that we can at least 'make wifi calls'?
