Hi Everyone, I've been with EE since January this year, I live in Clapham Junction Area London, I have never been able to use the signal checker in the Help section of the App, All permissions are granted, I spoke to an EE customer service agent who didn't really have any knowledge of why this is happening, He put me on hold and came back saying a colleague said its because I'm on Pay As You  Go and only contract customers get this privilege, Wow is this a 2 Tier service falseing people to have to change, Totally Descriminatly, Why is a company treating PAYG Customers like second class people, Truly Disgusting.

Hi @Pete2609

Use the signal checker online:

https://ee.co.uk/help/service-status

As you your last point, there are many differences between PAYG and pay monthly, one of the benefits of PAYG is that you can leave at any time with no cost over pay monthly.

Thanks

I asked this morning why doesn't the signal checker work and about a conversation with an EE agent that said it was because I was PAYG, Can you believe the reply from EE agent which I have screen shotted and sent in an Email to customer service complaints told me I Could Leave, can you believe that, Can't resolve my problem but goes to the trouble of telling me to leave,Also popped into EE Shop opposite where I live and guy in the said not surprised, they get complaints about Rude replys on App all the time.

@Pete2609 Just checked the online version, seems to be reporting fine at least in my area. HTH Edit: and app is also working fine.

Hi @Pete2609

Which part of the coverage checker isn't working for you? You should be able to check the coverage in your area and whether we're aware of an issue there without logging in. If you need to report a problem in your area, I'd recommend giving us a call on 150 so that our technical support team can look into it for you.

It sounds like you have done the right thing in raising a complaint, if you aren't happy with the replies that you got through our chat service. The complaints team will look into that and contact you directly to discuss it.

Hi @Pete2609

Technically the agent was correct becase as a PAYG customer you can leave when you want. Maybe the message was misinterpreted but as @Christopher_G  said if you have complained then it will be reviewed i am sure.

Thanks
