I am the same

The past year signal has been unusable and i travel around Kent and London daily i have a work phone on Vodaphone and i can make a phone call all the way from the office to home. On my personal EE phone it will drop out about 5-6 times. The bill goes up signal quality goes down.

Does VoLTE show onscreen when calls drop?

Hi @Fsaccvgg

What device.

I travel to London from Leeds weekly and I know your pain, however over the last 2 months the signal has improved considerably over how it was ( even on the underground). In your case it maybe EE are upgrading the whole network locally like I have noticed. One thing I tried was turning off 5G and I noticed a considerable improvement.

You can also check for network issues here are the recent bad weather hasn't helped.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

No it will show 5G with no bars of 4G with no bars. Never seen VoLTE

Thanks

Hi Northerner

I have a Samsung S22

Thing is I think for me as well I need to start again I have been with EE/TMobile for so long now and there is no thanks. My bill started off at £41 a month it's now gone upto £58 a month due to price increases per year and I can get the same phone and plan for £45 a month if I upgrade now. Where is the sense in this crap? I was in London on Friday and signal was so poor around Greenwich I couldn't even make a call. So I think it's time to try Vodaphone because they never let me down on my crappy Samsung A22 work phone 🤷‍♂️

In the current network config, 5G relies on 4G for voice and you'll be using VoLTE for voice. If you're not seeing that on Android, that could be at least part of the issue.

If EE voice performance was generally as bad as you're reporting, there would be significant volumes of complaints. I experienced very similar over many months, and it turned out to be device related. Swapping phones was like changing networks.

Might be worth running both SIMs in the same device for a while, to rule that out. Oh, and it's Vodafone not Vodaphone 😉

Hi bristolian

I might try and speak to EE about the issue before switching see what they say. Your right I guess if it was a wider problem the complaints would be rolling in. 🤣🤣 whoops on the spelling 🙈

I have since moved to smarty due to having the same issues and where occasionally 4g speeds might be slightly less the consistency and quality if the calls outweighs that ten fold. And for 50gb for £8 I won't be going back.
